With its sunny viewing platform accessible all year round, the Gornergrat at 3,089 m above sea level is one of the top excursion destinations. Surrounded by 29 four-thousand-meter peaks, the highest Swiss mountain (Dufourspitze, 4,634 m above sea level) and the third-longest glacier in the Alps (Gornergletscher), it offers a mountain panorama that could not be more overwhelming.
